Chickie's big night

Tonight Chickie got two new toys--Lofty and Benny (from Bob the Builder.) Plus we went to the store to pick out candy of her choice (a plastic car full of what was labeled as candy but ended up being gum.)

I don't know if the ever-escalating bribery had anything to do with it, but I was very happy to fulfill my toy and candy promises when...

...Chickie pooped in the potty for the very first time.

Something so putrid never smelled so sweet.

Congratuations, Chickie -- and Mommy! Another milestone reached! I can picture Mommy doing a "happy dance" around the potty with poop in it. "Ain't bein' a mom grand?" :)

YEAH, CHICKIE!!!! WWOOOOHOOOOOO. As I do the potty dance. Congrats.

Paige is getting those same trucks in her stocking this year. Funny how we always end up with the same stuff, isn't it?

What a glorious day. It will only be matched by the day she wipes her own butt.

Trust me.

Becca--Well, I don't know about no turning back.... Yesterday she pooped three times (finally got her system mostly cleaned out I think) and none of them were in the potty. We may still have a long road ahead of us! :)

K--Thanks! I love my big girl!

Sandra--Well, no poopy dance, but we did have a special cheer. :)

Grammy--Thank you!

Kerri--See my comment to Becca above...I'm pretty sure you don't want her teaching your son anything just yet. ;)

Becki & Becky--Thank you! I was thrilled!

Angie--Yes, our little girls have such fun taste in boy toys! I love it!

nopinkhere--Well, so far it hasn't stuck. But I have to think that just getting past the first time showed her she CAN do it, and I'm hoping that will help as we keep going with the training. I knew it might not be an overnight thing, with her doing it once and then doing it every time after that. I wish it was that easy!

anna l.--Oh, you bet, I was THRILLED!

Sandi--Hee hee!!

Brave Sir Robin--Oh, definitely, I am looking forward to that joyful day! But I've got a younger one too, so it will be many moons until I reach that milestone with both of them.
