Dancing

I'm sorry there was no post yesterday.  I usually write my posts the night before, but Wednesday I reinstalled Windows on my computer and spent a large portion of the day getting it up and running again.  (I still have a lot of software to reinstall, but I'm getting there.)

My whole post today was going to be about how much Windows Vista annoys me, and how much Toshiba ticks me off by preloading so much junk software on their computers and restore CDs.  In fact, I'd started writing that post.  I even had a fun title:  "Toshibuuuuuuugh and Vistaaaaaaargh!"

And then Ruben Studdard started singing on American Idol, and Chickie reminded me I'd told her we could dance together when another song came on.  So I left the computer, and danced with my daughter.

And my annoyance (well, some of it, anyway) melted away...thanks to a simple dance with a carefree girl.

The simple things in life are often the best. I have fond memories of dancing to an advertisement on TV when I was a child with my mum. I reminded her about it recently and she was surprised that I remembered because I can't have been that old!

Do a google search for PC Decrapifier. It's an app that will take off all that free trial junk you don't need. Have you considered going to Mac?

Dancing your troubles away, I'll remember that the next time I'm having computer troubles.

Cathy--I'm glad you have a photo on your profile because my mom spells her name the same way and also often comments! :) Great story.

SciFiMama--Oh, I DEFINITELY want a Mac. Not in the budget right now with our computer only being a year old. But hopefully next time; we'll see. PC Decrapifier looks awesome! Thank you! I wish I hadn't spent so much time manually deleting stuff but I think I'll still run it for the things I may have missed.

Sara--It works!

Caryn--Definitely; I need to remember that more often.

Hope the computer is behaving now. And kudos to Chickie! Sometimes we all just need to dance.

Beth -- I enjoyed Ruben too, but what did you think of Joss Stone and Smokey Robinson? Either I'm developing a tin ear or they were AWFUL! I actually muted them and worked a sudoku because I was embarrassed for them that they sounded so bad.

Was it just an off night for me pitch-wise? and they were really just wonderful?

And that is why we have nightly dance parties. :)

Though, I'm sad you didn't write the post - the title was great!

You re-installed Windows. That's what I call brave. I'm so afraid of somehow losing half my stuff (even though it's backed up) if I ever did that. I'm sure I'd find there was some important thing I hadn't backed up.

You just gave me a great idea to de-stress...dancing with my son or husband!

I've found that there isn't much that a dance with an eager, mama-lovin', three-year old can't cure!
