Pita pizzas

Thanks to the book Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day (which I blogged about here), I've been making delicious whole wheat pita bread (which of course can also easily be purchased in the deli section of any grocery store.)

Lately we've enjoyed some creative pizzas using the pita bread. Of course you could use traditional pizza toppings, but we've branched out a bit. The other day Chickie had PB & J pizza...

...and I enjoyed Mexican pizza (with refried beans, cheese, olives, & salsa.)

Whether you use pizza sauce and cheese, taco toppings, or peanut butter and jelly, pita pizzas are molto bene, muy bien, and very good!

Your Mexican pizza looks amazing... Right now though, I could go for a nice breakfast pizza. Maybe some eggs, cheese, sausage? Though Chickie's inspired a new craving - pb & fluff pizza!

Okay, now I'm hungry :-). When can I come over and eat :). ha!! Maybe during spring break (not next week but the following week) you can teach me how to make this, and the artisan bread too :-).

By the way, I like this format to your blog better than the last. Get to look at a couple of days, in case you missed any :-).

When I go to the grocery today, I'm going to look for whole wheat pitas and try this. I love pizza, but it's sooooo not WW!
