Happy feet

I got a pair of new sandals a couple of weeks ago.

I am loving these! Now, they did take a bit of time to break in, but now that I have, they are so comfy. They're both soft and supportive, and the leather upper is now nice and flexible. Fantastic.

And I got them for $20! I love deals like this. When I can find a quality product (in this case, Naturalizer brand) for the same price I'd pay for an inferior product at a big box store, I'm in heaven. I picked these up at Ross, and I've found great shoes for myself, The Engineer, Chickie, and Zoodle there, at various times.

You may have never thought to venture into Ross for shoes. I highly recommend it. You never know what you'll find, but if you get lucky, you'll walk out of there with a pair of happy feet.

I have a pair of Naturalizer sandals that I bought six years ago. They aren't insanely supportive (especially with my non-existent arches), they're actually about half a size too big, and they're quite worn. But I love them. They're my go-to summer shoe.

I've bought shoes at Ross (actually, maybe it was TJMaxx) before. Brown wedge sandals. Also awesome. I love a deal!

Never heard of Ross! Apparently we don't have them here in the frozen North. :-) Those shoes look really comfy!

We don't have a Ross, but I agree with the concept -- lots of stores sell shoes that you don't think of as "shoe stores" -- and sometimes you can find great deals at them! Those are cute and look like the type that you'll be able to wear for a long time. :)

For the northerners among your readers - Ross is just like TJMaxx or Marshall's.

I love getting shoes at Marshall's.

Oh, I'm so jealous! Good sandals are hard to come by and sometimes you can't tell if they're right for you until you've worn them a few times.

Cate--I'm so glad to hear how well your Naturalizers have held up! It's my first pair, and I'm really liking them. I hope they last me at least a few years!

Kris--I know, Ross is full of treasures! :)

Becky--I didn't realize Ross was regional! As Becki's comment below says, it's like TJMaxx or Marshall's.

Sandra--I think part of the fun is going to one of those stores and having the adventure of seeing what you can find! :)

Steph--That's true. I was afraid I'd chosen the wrong ones because they weren't that comfy the first few times I wore them. Now that they're broken in, they are serving me well!

I'm staying in Stornoway on the Western Isles and noticed the name of the local shoe shop the other day - it's called 'Happy Feet!' Glad that is what yours now are.
