Hooray for handmade! (For now...)
Earlier this month I wrote about the CPSC's new law that was threatening to put small toymakers out of business. While some important elements of the law are still going into effect (such as ensuring that crib paint is lead-free), much of the enforcement of the law has been delayed for one year so that much-needed clarifications can be made. I am so glad to hear this. Finally, a little common sense prevails.
That's great news, and I hope they'll get it all sorted out. I love me some Etsy when I'm buying for my girls!
Debbie--I hope common sense continues to prevail as they make their clarifications over the next year.
Kara--I sure hope they do too and that we're in a much better place in a year--safer but without harming businesses uncessarily!
