Guess her head isn't as hard as I thought

Aww, isn't that a sweet picture?  A toddler so worn out from a fun day of playing that she conks out on the couch.

Except Chickie DOESN'T conk out on couches.  And she wasn't tired from playing.  She fell asleep after falling off the kitchen table and hitting her head on the tile floor.

Apparently it's normal for kiddos to be unusually sleepy after bonking their heads, and after we answered a bunch of questions on the phone, the doctor said we didn't need to take her to the hospital.  But it was a little scary.  After all, how in the world could I hold my head high in the ER if I brought in a little girl wearing such terribly unmatching clothes?

Once she took a two hour nap and got over some post-nap grogginess, Chickie was fine--a little grumpy but not in pain.  She walked straight, talked coherently, and fought bedtime--business as usual.  She slept in our room last night just so we could keep an eye on her, but I think she's just fine.

I didn't think I'd ever say this, but...here's hoping for a normal, nap-free day tomorrow.
