Chickie and Zoodle

When Zoodle was born, we didn't think he looked like Chickie had looked as a baby. People have often commented that she looks like me, and he looks like The Engineer, so it made sense that they didn't look that much alike.

Recently, though, I've seen old pictures of Chickie, and it's struck me--Zoodle looks a lot like she did at his age. I dug up an old photo of her from when she was about the age Zoodle is now. What do you think?

they definitely look alike, unlike my kids, whom you can't even tell are related! LOL

I don't know which mirror YOU look in, but last time I looked, you and the Engineer look VERY similar. So your kids look like BOTH of you and like each other. To me, anyway.

No doubt in my mind that they're siblings. And also that they're cute enough to keep.

Sorry, I do have to disagree with you! I still think, Chickie looks like you, and Zoodle looks like the Engineer, to a point that is frightening, but also sooooo cool!
The only thing they have in common is that 'big' mouth, and the few teeth they have in this particular photo!
Nonetheless, they are both beautiful children!

I definitely see that they are similar! But I agree that Chickie is you and Zoodle is the Engineer :)

If you look feature by feature....Eyes: crinkled the same, appear to be same color; Chin: little nubbin at the bottom of their faces; Cheeks: same little pudgy chipmunk cheeks, Nose: definitely close, one is a little more defined; Ear lobes: oh yeah, the same; Eyebrows: not quite, color is off and one has more of an arch; Mouth: same smile with upper lip disappearing, one smile is a little bigger than the others; Hair: Ah well, that's where they part company big time -- color, length, amount -- all different. So final tally?? Close, very close! Yet when you look at the whole face? Not so much! How is that possible?? :-)

I think that quite often one's children - who don't normally look like each other - suddenly produce a look or a photo that shows their common ancestry. My two girls have always been very different and yet occasionally I find an old photo that I have to look at quite closely to be sure who it is.
