He holds up his little, chubby hand; looks intently at it; and opens and closes those five perfect fingers. I watch his face break into a wide smile.
And I wonder if a first-time marathon runner's pride and delight could be any greater than the pride and delight of Zoodle, mastering the art of waving hello.

How sweet, one of my favorite milestones!
So cute! And I love the new header!
Imagine my chagrin when it took my aunt to teach my little man how to wave. I just hadn't thought of it. He picked it up from her in about a day. Now he loves to hold his hand in the air in a 'tada' kind of way and see everyone else follow him like a big game of Simon Says with him at the helm.
Love the new header, and I have to say I love to see Zoodle smile, too. He lights up any picture he's in, I can only imagine what he does to a room. What an awesome little man you have there. Tell him I said so.
Marathon runners have nothing on Zoodle.
Yay, Zoodle! :) Love the new header, Beth.
I remember how exciting those "firsts" are. The look of delight in their eyes when they "get" it is priceless.
You will really melt when he blows you kisses for the first time.
Top marks for new header! It's so YOU.
Mama to a diva--And today Daddy taught him to clap! Another fun milestone.
Kara--Thanks! I had fun making the header.
Heaher--Oh, thanks, I love his smile too!!
Call Me Cate--Yeah, I agree! :)
ElleBee--Thank you! It's a good, "season-less" header...not that I'm saying I'll keep it any longer than a couple of months. ;)
Sandra--Oh, yes, watching that "Aha" moment is great!
Saucy--I am definitely looking forward to that day!
Zoodle rockin' the smile and wave!
