Bicycle with me, anyone?

Okay, I'm tired of looking at these stretched-out postpartum abdominals. I know my sister Becki has had great luck with doing bicycle exercises (sort of modified crunches but more effective than traditional crunches). I've done these before and if the burn I feel is any indication, they do work!

So starting today I'll be doing these killer ab exercises daily. Who wants to join me?

I laughed out loud when I read this and then looked for comments, and there were none! Hard to get people to jump on that exercise bandwagon sometimes isn't it? I have started to the gym again, because I can really tell the difference in tone, when I don't go. Good for you with your new resolve -- may it "take root" and stay a long time.

I will do them with you Beth! I used to do these as part of a pilates DVD I used. But I haven't done them in awhile. My belly could definitely use some work!

Sounds good! I need to do something in addition to the old treadmill!

How many are you doing??? I will do some (not sure how many/long I can do though) tonight after I get the kids to bed... looks like a good one while watching the telly!

Sandra--Good for you for being so disciplined already! :)

Amy, Karen(?), & Angela--Yay, I'm glad you're joining me! I'll be doing 100 (50 on each side, alternating L-R-L-R). But you can do as many or as few as you want. I know I can do that many because I was doing them several weeks ago--just didn't ever truly build a habit. I will probably increase the reps as my body gets firmed up. :)

I'll do mine tonight!

I started off doing only 25 (but I count L-R as one, not as two, so I guess my 25 is your 50). Recently, I was up to about 140 - two sets of 50, then one more of however many I could squeeze out. But realized I was doing them too fast -- not giving myself enough resistance, and using my own momentum too much. Slowing down, it's more like 90-100. One set of 50, then another of 40-50 (depends how tired I am!) I feel the burn big time now that I've slowed it down.
