What the hail?!

Sorry for the bad pun but I couldn't help myself....

I spent about 20 minutes tonight with Chickie and Zoodle in our closet due to a tornado warning. Thankfully no actual tornadoes were spotted but there was a funnel cloud spotted that didn't reach the ground. Yikes! It wasn't too near us but it was looking like tornadoes were very possible in our area, so we hung out in the safe closet for awhile.

No tornadoes, but what we did get was HAIL--the biggest The Engineer or I has ever seen in person. It was almost golf ball sized. So wish us luck when we check out our roof tomorrow....

Oh, yes, Tornado Alley. We're there too. Hopefully this will be an uneventful spring...

Since I work for an electric company, we typically have to work during big storms. No fun!

We're just south of you so I understand! I was terrified of all our tornado watches/warnings and horrible weather these last few days. DH, LO and I almost ended up in the interior bathroom the other night. Oy! So much scarier with a LO to look after!

If my camera was working, I'd post a picture of our padded entry closet. Yes, we were in ours, too. The weather radio I have actually said one was sighted in our town. But the TV station I was watching didn't confirm it. It was enough for the boys, though. We were in the closet for a while. We made quite a cool cave in there. I will have to borrow a camera because it's really too cute.

I was right there with you in the closet!... actually sitting on the couch waiting for Dan to tell us to get in the bathroom! a tornado touched down less than a mile away at ORU here in Broken Arrow... Dan kept telling me that it was going North and on the TV it said that it was headed toward our neighbohood... well, it did go a little North and touched down about 3/4 mile from our house... NEXT time we WILL be going into the bathroom! :o)
