My words:
Silly Zoodle! Binkies are for babies!
Remember that old advertising slogan, "Silly rabbit! Trix are for kids!" Well, two days ago I got tired of seeing my 2-year-old looking like a big boy below the waist (with underwear on) and like a baby above the neck (with a binky in his mouth for so much of the day.) So his binkies are now for bedtime and naptime only.
And you know what? He's doing fine! He asks for a binky sometimes, but Friday was better than Thursday. The lack of binkies hasn't caused any major meltdowns, which has surprised me; I thought he was so attached to them! Maybe I was more attached to that "quick fix" than he was!
I'm not sure when we'll take it away altogether. Since his sleep is not the best right now, binky-free sleep isn't something I'm ready to push yet.

Sometimes nothing's better than a binky!
Tripping to Panama!
That's a cute story you shared. I like the 6 words.
Here's mine...Saturday's post Do come by to say hi, if you can.
that's a hard time! My best friend's little girl was so attached to her binky, that now she has a thumb sucking problem at age 8. Good luck...glad he's doing fine and happy 6WS!!
Great story !!
My kids never used them, I'm so lucky I guess. Good Luck !!
Happy 6WS

~sometimes its hard transitioning them and accepting for ourselves that they are growing up...you are doing wonderful and taking steps in the right direction! warm wishes and brightest blessings~
My daughter started seriously talking on her first birthday. Within a couple of days the pacifier was forgotten. She evidently had a lot to say and I think it just got in the way! :)
My 6 for you..."Enjoy them while they are young...:)"
Happy SWS!:)
I had to run out and buy a binkie in the middle of the night once when my youngest was a baby and we couldn't find her binkie anywhere.
Kids do get so attached to them. (:>)
But they grow up so fast and leave them and so many things behind.
Enjoy each stage.
