i know that i am rude and a complete jerk; however...
1) she never commented on my change (1 strike against Beth) 2) i am a college dude, there are flowers here (1 strike against beth) 3) more than one flower (1 for every flower) 4) the layout is too girly (see above) etcetcetc
And, Barga, thank you (?) for the honesty. Did you get my response via Twitter last night? I'm not at all surprised that you don't like it, as you don't much strike me as the type who would like pastels and flowers. Oh, well, can't please everyone.... :)
I love it! The new font definitely makes me happy - I like the wide Sans Serif fonts. I make all of my school handouts in Century Gothic. Is this Lucida?
@ Barga again: you could at least say something encouraging, like, "I don't like it personally, but I'm sure the majority of your blogging demographic would like it" (or something little less wordy :S) I personally wouldn't use something like Beth is using too, but jeez...show some respect - she obviously puts a lot of work into redesigning her blog every time. It's OK to be honest, but I think we all need to be respectful and be a little less blatant.
I know to expect honesty (brutal or otherwise) from Barga--but he's also made a point to be protective of my family (like when someone made a rude blog comment about Chickie, and when I accidentally posted Zoodle's real name.) So I am willing to give him a lot of leeway in how he expresses his opinions.
(Barga--imagine this comment being sent with a huge, tacky bouquet of daisies, just for you!) ;)
okay, so constructive? I believe that it is just too darn peppy. Seriously though, I like the pastel for the blog, dont like the background, and really liked the old header. I do like that the ads are not intensive though but the colors of the flowers are
I WILL KILL YOU BETH flowers set my allergies on stun, and that makes me cry I am protective both because i like you, and some of the stuff I have seen at work... well... are not too plesant... so i am cautious
I actually did get a good response from the drawn/stitched pictures of the family that I used in my last header. I'm mulling over re-using them in some way or maybe recreating them.... We'll see.
