According to What's My Blog Rated?, I am safe for kids of all ages to read. Today, anyway. I've tried this fun little site a few times, and my rating was PG at one point--I think because I'd used the word "poop" too many times in a recent post. (Oops, said it again--once I publish this, will my rating be bumped back up?)
This is a fun little time-wasting site. Go ahead, check your own blog, if you have one. Check other blogs and websites. (CNN.com is rated PG; and my favorite fake news site, TheOnion.com, is rated PG-13.)
I'll try to continue keepin' it clean. It would be a pain to have to check IDs at the door.
I tried that once, it said pg because I talked about a gun show and used one cuss word. Sorry if I just upped your rating.
ReplyDeleteMy ID is fake anyways so it wouldn't do you much good to check it.
ReplyDeleteI love that the site tells you exactly which words are an issue. I'm currently rated G but it does want to slap my wrist for one use of the word "sex".
Seeing that i talk about pregnant teens, have an author who cusses up a storm, and also talk about sexting i am sure i would be rated XXX or something like that
ReplyDeleteoh, and sorry for bumping your raiting up there
ReplyDeleteGreat - KUDOS to you! :)
ReplyDeletesilver star--Gun show--I guess they considered that violence? Pretty funny the way the program works.
ReplyDeleteCate--I love the list of words too! It was disappointing; I only had one this time.
Barga--Yeah, I'm pretty sure yours wouldn't be G. :)
Dani--Thanks!
Yikes...mine is rated NC-17. Because of the words "hurt", "pain", "shoot", "death", and "crap".
ReplyDeleteI guess they missed the post where I dropped the f-bomb a few times.
Thank you for sharing the site. It is fun. My blog was rated G also. I like the section about awards too.
ReplyDeleteMine was rated PG this time for one swear word... it was rated R last time, so an improvement even though I couldnt find the word in question. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool! I'm going to try it on my own blog. Thanks for sharing!
