Lead us not into temptation...

Sorry, folks, but I have to share. Hide your eyes if you're dieting.

Yes, those are Old Fashioned Candy Cane Creme flavored Oreos.

Yes, they're yummy.

Yes, they are trans-fat free.

Yes, that means they are genuinely healthy.*

  1. Thanks Beth, I managed to bypass these cookies in the store.
You are not making this easy girlfriend.

  2. nopinkhere--I know. Enabler to the core. :)

Roxy--You are a stronger woman than I. Stay strong, Roxy, stay strong! They're like Lay's Potato Chips; you can't eat just one--and with Oreos, that's really a lot worse than with Lay's.

  5. Rebecca--Yes, they're peppermint! They taste a LOT like the Girl Scout peppermint cookies. They are limited edition, so I'm sure they'll be gone soon after Christmas is over.

  10. Oh, do those look delish! Don't know if you've got a Trader Joe's in your area, but they always come out with candy cane "joe-joes" (their version of the Oreo) during the holidays too- they're so incredible I usually end up buying boxes (and boxes) to last me through the spring!

  11. You are hilarious! Great picture! I think I'll pass on the cookie though. LOL Look at my will power!

  14. Angela--I might starve if I was lactose intolerant. :)

    Desert Grace--Get them! Now!

    Our Scoop--SO sorry! :)

Forever folding laundry--But good torture, right??

Jen--They were good. I did eat a few more than I planned, though....

    DiPaola--Oh, YUM, that sounds awesome!

Janice--We don't have Trader Joe's here. Moment of silence for the lack of the fantabulous Trader Joe's, please.

    Mama to a Diva--Yaay, willpower!

    Vikki--Yeah, it's a good combination!

Mike Fan--Speechless? You? Never thought I'd see the day! ;)

Ellebee--Please accept my humble apology. :)

  15. Oh my goodness, I've never seen the like! They look Sooooo Tasty!

Where do I get some? I mean, as soon as Big Daddy got home from work I thrust an enthusiastic toddler at him and dashed for the car. I drove to three grocery stores looking for these delectable beauties, but came home empty-handed. *pouty.lip*

If my local food stores don't get wise, I'll be forced to live vicariously through you.

Just think of me wandering aimlessly around my house, singing: Deck the halls with Old-Fashioned Candy Cane Creme Oreos, fa-la-la....well, you get the idea.

  16. IsDihara--Oh, I'm so sorry you couldn't find them! I found them at good ol' Wally World, where they were set up in a special display.

(Yeah, yeah, I know...Wal-Mart eats babies and all that. But they're cheap, and so am I. That's my only excuse.)

Jen R.--I know, it was news to me, too! Really yummy news.

  17. Off to Wally-world! Ours is open 24 hours. Wheee!

These festive Oreos will make a nice transition from the (really yummy) pumpkin chocolate chip cookies I've been eating in October and November.

Yes, I'm happy to share the recipe.

  18. Oh my! Who would've thought that a simple cookie post would arouse so much emotion! :) We forgive you, Beth, but just remember what they say about payback. I picked up some horrible, terrible, amazing cookies at Target the other day...

  19. Satan, get behind thee!!! LOL!! I've lost 16 pounds and eating delicious cookies such as these will not help my efforts!! Dang you!!!

  20. I was at Trader Joe's last night and noticed they have their own brand: Candy Cane Joe Joe's. I thought of this post right away and couldn't resist buying them. Delicious! And made with organic cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup - that makes it truly a health food, right? ;-)
