I LOVE card games. But, I don't remember ever playing pinochle. Sorry I don't live closer -- I'd be right there joining your group. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4774778021065181469.post-67351759024196239712009-12-02T00:11:43.035-06:002009-12-02T00:11:43.035-06:00Never played Pinochle. There are too many names for things.
I remember growing up and all the grown ups playing either bridge or pinocle.
I used to play rummy 500. That was a fun game.
Now we play hand and foot. It is sort of like canasta only totally different.2catshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10422139409011064601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4774778021065181469.post-69110640311870898582009-12-01T16:34:04.145-06:002009-12-01T16:34:04.145-06:00I have never played pinochle but it sounds like a ...I have never played pinochle but it sounds like a blast! I never could figure out either one! All I remember about Pinochle is that you have to remember what has been played. My mind just doesn't work that way. So, although I love playing cards and games and such Pinochle just appears to be beyond me. On the other hand if you ever want to take up Canasta, I'm your gal!!Mellodeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07515414035373189099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4774778021065181469.post-37730183528647044452009-12-01T08:41:15.627-06:002009-12-01T08:41:15.627-06:00D and I plan on playing a TON with Mom and Dad whe...D and I plan on playing a TON with Mom and Dad when we go home for the holidays! I miss Pinochle when I'm not with family. D and I need to teach it to our one pair of friends who are as into games as we are here in Boston.

Rachel, those rules are almost identical to the ones we use in our family. We count a triple Pinochle as 90 (have never seen a quadruple Pinochle!) but everything else looks the same.beckiwithanihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18380322646544580050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4774778021065181469.post-20975279581990588232009-12-01T07:41:59.361-06:002009-12-01T07:41:59.361-06:00I'm a Euchre girl. The bidding always confused me. How can bid when you don't know how many points you're going to make? I realize this isn't that different from Euchre, but somehow Euchre makes more sense to me.

Having said all that, if you happen to find yourself in Northern Ontario one day, drop in and play a few games with my parents ... they'd love to have you!Crazy Mohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04854860776987204779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4774778021065181469.post-72242727825488357082009-12-01T05:17:40.950-06:002009-12-01T05:17:40.950-06:00I play a lot of cards, and am always looking for n...I play a lot of cards, and am always looking for new games to learn (though I'm too far away to play with you, obviously!). Can you tell me if these are the rules you play by?
